Installing Arduino in Raspian

Software: Arduino IDE, Python3 IDLE
OS: Raspain/Noobs
Kits/Part Source: Raspberry Pi, an Arduino
Project Source: Getting Started with Raspberry Pi Book by Matt Richardson and Shawn Wallace

This weeks I installed the Arduino IDE on Raspian. Once complete, I was able to upload a sketch from the Raspberry PI to blink the LED on pin 13 of the Arduino.

As usual, the instructions in the book were straight forward and easy to follow. It does, however, assume that I had some basic knowledge how an Arduino works.

This project isn't hard but I did have to know some Linux command line and some code in the Arduino IDE.

Leaning how to install the Arduino IDE wasn't new. I've been running Linux for a couple of years now but using the usermod to access the serial port was new.
